This free event will bring cultural teachings from Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society to Oliver Community League.
The Medicine Wheel will be used to show the diversity of our neighbourhoods and communities. Everyone is represented in the Medicine Wheel and everyone is respected. Participants will do self-reflection on who they are. It is important to look inward first. Balance with oneself is important before there can be balance with others. Then you move outward to the community. Who is in your life? Who is in your neighbourhood?
Refreshments and light snacks will be served.
This event is free and kid-friendly.
This event is part of a community conversation series- a collaboration between Leagues and BIPOC partners funded by the City of Edmonton. Learn more on this project.
